Bernadette G. Kohn, D.O., Neuromuscular Medicine

Dr. Bernadette Goheen Kohn is Board Certified in Neuromuscular Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She graduated from TCOM in 1981. After medical school, she spent 13 years in family practice and emergency medicine, working in Kansas, Texas, Missouri, Pennsylvania, and at Great Lakes Naval Hospital in Illinois.

Motivated by many people who could become more healthy, avoid medication, and prevent or delay surgery through manual medicine, Dr. Bernadette completed a fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She and her husband, Dr. Robert Kohn, founded The Kohn Group, Ltd. She offers Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT), Fulford Percussion Hammer, Osteopathy in the Cranial Field, trigger point injections, including Prolotherapy and Neural Therapy, somato-emotional release work, and therapeutic exercise prescriptions.

Dr. Bernadette completed her B.S. in Biology at Dominican College and her MS in Biology at North Texas State University. She attended medical school at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to raising 5 children, Dr. Bernadette is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), the American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO), the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine (AAOM), and The Osteopathic Cranial Academy (CA).
