Ongoing We are in-network providers for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, effective April 23, 2008. The Kohn Osteopathic Medical Group welcomes Dr. Andrea Clem. Dr. Clem brings many years of experience to the Practice; she was most recently a faculty member at Ohio University College of Ostepathic Medicine, both teaching and lecturing. During her years at Ohio University, she specialized in women's health issues, and served on many committees devoted to the health and safety of both men and women. Dr. Clem was a member of the Ohio University Osteopathic Medical Center University Medical Associates, a clinical family practice. The Kohn Group is pleased to announce that Jeanne Browning, Practice Manager and Clinical Nurse Specialist, has achieved certification as an Advanced Holistic Nurse through the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation. Jeanne Browning is a Lead Networker for the American Holistic Nurses Association Northern Fox River Valley Networking Group. The group meets the 3rd Sunday of September, November, January, March, and May. Location rotates. Nurses interested in joining the group are welcome to contact Jeanne at (815)344-0020. |

Recent Events Dr. Andrea Clem participated in A Women's Health Forum, given for physicians and nurse practitioners on January 25, 2010. Dr. Clem discussed various Women's health topics, such as pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, and improving surgical outcomes. The Forum, open by invitation only, was held at Biaggi's Ristorante Italiano in Algonquin, IL. Dr. Bernadette Kohn was recertified in Neuromuscular Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine by the American Academy of Oseopathy in November 2009.Dr. Bernadette Kohn attended the American Academy of Osteopathy's OMT for Common Conditions: Diagnosis, Treatment and Payment course in Orlando, Florida on August 21-24, 2009. Dr. Bernadette Kohn attended the Cranial Academy's Embryology and Osteopathy: Developmental Patterns and the Template of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, on June 18-21, 2009. Jeanne Browning, APN, attended the American Holistic Nurses Association's 29th Annual Conference on June 11-14th, 2009 in Madison, WI. Dr. Bernadette Kohn attended the Chronic Pain Treatment Options class on April 15, 2009. Dr. Bernadette Kohn, Dr. Andrea Clem, and Jeanne Browning attended the The American Academy of Osteopathy Annual Convocation in Little Rock, Arkansas on March 25-29, 2009. Dr. Bernadette Kohn attended Dr. Fulford’s Basic Percussion: A Systemic Approach to the Whole Body, sponsored by the American Academy of Osteopathy on February 28-March 1, 2009. |
